Some people gag at the thought of just eating sweet potatoes, broccoli and egg whites. But boy do I love it! Sweet potatoes are my DESSERT. My love of sweet potatoes began at a young age I ate so many that my nose turned orange. Yes, that seriously happened!!

Tangent! Looking to finally change the general style of my personal page. Reactions about the nice look at http://dominionlendingniagara.ca? Certainly an extraordinary mortgage broker in St Catharines that cares when seeking within the whole Ontario region. Send your feedback. Many thanks!

Recently I have had some health set backs that have really affected my training for my NANBF show coming up in September. I was so frustrated because I had been working my butt off and because of health issues, my hard work was not showing.

But ultimately I do what I do because I want what is best for my body.

I have always been a firm believer in eating natural or "clean" because the amount of chemicals and carcinogens that is put in our body with today's processed food is just disgusting.

After some health tests my trainer and I decided to see if I am sensitive to certain foods. I eat NOTHING processed. I don't even use 'PAM' to grease pans. I use a small amount of organic cold-pressed coconut oil.

-> Blog soon to come about coconut oil. I'm literally OBSESSED. Thank goodness for Costco and large containers. ha!

I have not had gluten, wheat or dairy in my diet for a few weeks now, but reactions from foods can stay in your system for long periods of time. I'm also attempting cutting out nuts. YES that does mean peanut butter. And yes.. I am a PB addict so this will be rough. I never knew until recently that it is possible for a person to have a nut allergy without having any respiratory symptoms.

I wanted to write this post to remind you fit folks (and not so fit folks) of why we do what we do. It is because we respect and love our body enough to only put food in us that will benefit our body. Food is meant as fuel.

If you 'diet' to just loose weight, or 'get skinny' I'm telling you right now that you may loose weight, but you WILL gain it back. Eating healthy doesn't stop after you've lost the weight. It's about maintaining it and using habits that you've learned to be healthy for the rest of your life.

Your body is a temple. Treat it like one.
